We had an extra long weekend. Jason finished up for the year last Thursday and we hit the road for Lebanon. The boys were super, super, super, excited. I burned a couple of new kids cds (ones that hopefully wouldn't hurt Jasonn's ears too much) and that pretty much entertained them the 2 hours there.
Jason did some late night fishing and the boys did some late night giggling. They were sharing a bed and the excitement of the trip took a while to wear off.
We had a big slumber party with the cousins. That meant there was a lot of playtime in the morning. We celebrated with a BIG breakfast and play time outside.
Jason and I stole away for a lunch date that afternoon. We went up to Osage Beach and ate at a Mexican Restaurant with a river view. Luckily I was in Jason's periphrial as he viewed the lake.
That night we ate out with family, and the kids were a hoot with the peanuts. They were using every means they could think of to crack them open. Emma didn't like them, but she kept making a pile for Amos to eat.
The rain cooled everything off on Saturday, but then cleared out of the area so we headed to Bennett Springs State Park. The pools of fish never disappoint.
More exploring before hitting the road for home.
But that wasn't the end of our long weekend. On Monday, we decided to take a day trip to see my mom and dad. They are headed out of the country on a trip, so we thought we would get in a quick visit before they leave.
