Today's the first day of SUMMER at the Vance house. Although, technically, we aren't at our house, but Nana and Papa's! We started summer off right with a trip to see our family.
But let's back track... most of this week was anticipating the start of summer. I made the mistake on Monday, of saying that we were going to Nana and Papa's on Thursday. They were ready that second. Whoops. Luckily, we had some other outings to entertain us.
Monday brought a trip to the doctor for Ivan. Not exactly fun, but Amos and Silas were glad that it wasn't for them. They were so worried for Ivan, that the doctor offered to keep them while he got his actual shots. I love our dr. office!
Tuesday we had our monthly Parents-As-Teachers visit. The boys love the activities we get to do and we all enjoy a little change of pace.
Wednesday brought Grammy to town and we all, cousins too, went swimming at the Y. We've had a Y membership for about a month now and have really enjoyed it. The boys enjoy playing with their cousins and new "friends."
It's been a big week for Ivan. Not only did two new teeth pop up, but he's finally off his reflux medicine, in exchange for a more natural homeopathic remedy. And has just started scooting around a bit. Neither of my other boys did any early scooting, but went straight to crawling, so this has been fun for us.
What a wonderful change of weather too! We've thoroughly enjoyed that.
