my three little men: 6 month old

Our big news this week: we've got a 6 month old.

He's a pretty laid back baby, especially considering his rough start of things. He sleeps really well - possibly my best sleeper because both his naps and night time sleep are good. It could all be perspective, because I'm more laid back about those things this third time around.

Look at him and he'll smile. Say something and he'll giggle. He just loves attention. He's anticipating things these days, so belly tickles are a pretty fun time.

He mastered sitting this week. I've been putting him in the middle of the boppy which I think was adding to his spills. Once I moved his safety net, he sits pretty solidly. I love it. So do his brothers.

He's really working on teeth this week. I think his amber necklace is really helping, but I'm sure his two big mounds are still painful. We've had some rougher sleeping because of it. Everything goes into his mouth.

To give him something to think about, I've been letting him eat some food (read play with food). So far he's tried bananas, oranges, toast, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and cheese. He has maybe eaten a little bit, but most of it just gets smooshed or falls back out of his mouth. He's figuring out the whole moving it around in his mouth thing.

He's definitely having to become my most flexible baby. He works his day around us rather than the other way around. Luckily he's my best carseat sleeper and does pretty well transitioning from carseat to crib when asleep.

Here he is with a soon-to-be best friend. This is what babies like to do together.

He's starting to spin around on the floor and even inch forward a bit, but it's more army style than crawling. He tires of one place or position pretty quickly but is content if the scene changes.

We love him to pieces and are often reminded what a gift our Ivan Jude is to our family!

And just for fun! Who do you think he looks like?
