we're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo

We utilized the beautiful weather from last Saturday by heading to Springfield and visiting the zoo.  Anyone who's been to Springfield zoo knows that it is far from amazing.  But it was perfect for Amos.  He enjoyed seeing all the animals and we were able to cove it in about 2 hours.  I don't think either of them would have lasted much longer than that.

 Not much putting going on by Amos at the petting zoo.  He likes the idea of petting, but not the actual doing.

 Anytime Jason asked him to feed the animals.  He made this face and turned away.

 He was impressed by the lion, but his favorite part was the ball in the lion's cage.  Who's suprised?

 Silas spent most of his time doing this!

The second part of our day involved meeting up with Grandma and Grandpa and Granny to go out to eat.

 Grandpa let Amos "drive" the car.  This is one of his favorite new things.
