silas john - week 46

Who's been enjoying this wonderful weather?  We have, for sure!  During the summer, I'm a terrible Mom and rarely take my kids outside, unless we are heading to the swimming pool.  They have a Daddy for outside adventures.  Heat and I don't get along.  But this week has been different.  With majority of the backyard being in the shade, I have not only tolerated, but enjoyed being outside.  Silas is perfectly content in the swimming pool, minus the water and Amos runs around like a crazy guy.  It is a new part of our day.

Silas has been Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde with his sleep this week. One day he takes 2-two hour naps, the next I can barely get him to take a nap.  I don't know what the deal is, but we've been trying to go with the flow.   I would love for him to be down to just one nap a day, but he still seems really young to be ready for that.

We've got a free stander on our hands.  He'll be standing by something, and experiment by letting go and seeing if he can do it himself.  I can tell he's really proud of himself.  He may be walking by one, yet!

If you see Silas pointing at you, don't take offense.  He's got the pointer finger down pat.  Mom said he's working on telling people he's one!

He's still very chill.  We're thinking that he got his Dad's personality.  He doesn't need to be moving, or showing off, he has a good time watching the action.  He does like to dance, though.
Grammy, Josie & Priscilla came over to play on Saturday.  The kids had a blast together, and then my mom took them home so Jason and I could head to a wedding.  It was so nice to stay out late, and sleep in this morning!  I leisurely sipped my coffee, took my time getting ready, and was still early for church.
The boys, of course, had a blast with Grammy and Gramps and didn't want to say goodbye!
