A lot has changed in a week:
Tooth #2 has popped out, which means no more tooth crank-i-ness.
His mobility has increased, which means no more frustrated crank-i-ness. Not only is he crawling, but now he is pulling up to and crawling over stuff. The only downside is that his method of crawling (dragging himself across the room) has resulted in more than one leaking diaper.
The fun part about crawling is that his personality is really starting to shine through. I also wondered when you reach the point of seeing distinct personalities in you kids. And sure, since birth, I've noticed that Silas does things differently than Amos, or likes/dislikes different things, but that's just preference. Now I'm learning more of how he thinks; what makes him tick.
Silas is no longer suffering from my low milk supply, which means no more hunger crank-i-ness. That's right. I am (almost) a free woman! I am down to just one feeding a day. Anyone want to go on an all day shopping trip?
And a side note: The Farmer's Almanac is magical. I don't know how it works, but they offer suggested time periods, each month, to do things. One of those things is wean or potty train. We followed it with Amos and he had no problem weaning. I'd forgotten about it with Silas and tried to start weaning him on Monday. He refused to take the sippy. Flat out, refused! Then I remember the farmer's almanac. It said this month's best days to wean were between the 18th-23rd. I tried to give him a sippy again on Thurdsday (the 18th) and he downed the thing like it was no big! I told you, magical! It's be going great ever since! I AM ALMOST A FREE WOMAN!!!!
Silas has been so happy this week. He three main sources of crank-i-ness are gone and he's content to explore the house with a big smile on his face! He lays down in his big with a BIG smile on his face and wakes up with the same smile.
These two are having so much fun together. No one can make Silas laugh like Amos does. And Amos couldn't have a better audience than Silas. Once Silas is walking there will be no stopping these two.
Here's one of Amos at the same age:
