my three little men: week 49

Somebody's been trying really hard to walk this week.  He's taken two steps, so it doesn't seem like it will be long.  He's been fighting off a cold this week, but it hasn't slowed him down.  He still wants to be everywhere brothers are.  This weekend, we spent a lot of time outside and used his push dinosaur as a way for him to get around without having to crawl all over.  He loved it.

He also started saying bye bye.  It took all of us bombarding him with bye byes before bed one night, for him to finally decide to repay the favor.  He's pretty proud of it to and now tells us bye bye all the time.  If he's not waving bye bye, he's pointing at something.

As I mentioned above, we thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors this weekend by joining Carthage in their Maple Leaf Parade.  My sister came to town to stay with us, and we all went together.  We woke everyone up early, decked ourselves out in warm gear and headed to town.  After grabbing a great spot on the parade route, we enjoyed the Pancake Feed at the Fire station.  We were quite a site with all the kids, but we sure filled our tummys.  We got back just in time for the parade and the real fun.  We were dancing and singing and waving.  Oh, and eating candy.  Lots of it.

After the parade, we walked the square and jumped on the blow-ups.  We ate from the food trucks and then headed home.

Everyone napped!  It was grand.  The evening was spent cleaning up outside and a fire-pit with smores.  We repeated that again on Sunday.

Everyone's been battling snotty noses this week, but we've still been gearing up for Silas' third birthday this weekend.  It's a costume party, so they are pretty excited to finally get to wear the costumes we've been putting together.

Jason had PT conferences this week, so it made for some long days, but he's off today, which makes up for it all.

We learned about the 10 commandments in school this week and studied lots of rocks.  We made our first volcano, with I'm sure, many more to come.  They were pretty impressed with this one for now.

Practicing intentional laziness with this one.
