Silas had a great week! At the beginning of the week, he was still sleeping in our bedroom
closet. However, not wanting to
get him too use to the rock and play, we decided it was time to move him to the
bedroom. Plus, I was tired of
feeding him in our bed. The
rocking chair in his room is 100 times more comfortable. He’d been taking his naps in his crib
and was getting better at sleeping soundly in there. It was a very smooth transition. Waking once in the night to eat is getting to be the norm
now instead of the exception.
Silas has been a lot more alert while awake. He normally spends his short wake time
in my arms, on a blanket or in his bouncer.
Amos is usually close by in case I need him to bring me
Silas’ burp cloth or Silas needs patting.
He seems to be plumping up to us. He's a good eater, but a little more laid back than Amos was about eating. He tends to get distracted more. But to be fair, there may be a little more around to distract him, with Amos jumping on us during feedings and such. You may have noticed his extra rosy cheeks. Initially, the doctors called in Baby acne, however, I think it might be more of infant eczema. I've put aquaphor on it and it seems to be getting better. I hope that it doesn't stay around too long.
Check out that full head of hair. It really seems to be sticking around.
He's a pretty laid back guy. He's content in our arms and loves to hold his head up and look at us. We love continuing to get to know him.
