my three little wisemen...

- Silver Dollar City -
We wanted to make it to Silver Dollar City once while they had all the lights up and decorated for Christmas.  We had planned on a Sunday, but when the weather was predicted to make a drastic change, we quickly decided upon last Saturday instead.

I was worried that the place would be packed and unbearable.  Luckily, everybody didn't show up until around 5 when we were just about to head home.

The swings seem to always be our first stop.  Dad got to go around twice with his favorite riders.

And we stood on the sidelines cheering them on.  Ivan was all ready to be a part of it.  Luckily, he was pretty entertained by trying to climb up the hill to get to the fence.

We always pack sack lunches,to save money, but also our boys prefer a PBJ over anything that SDC offers anyway.  The day was perfect to enjoy our meal outside.

We don't always ride the train, but today they were running two, so the wait was pretty short.  We decided to give it a whirl, and everyone was a fan!
And we were sure to catch Frosty.  We didn't know that the kids would get to go up on stage, so it was treat when they got to watch Frosty come alive from up close.

We thought that Amos was big enough to ride this one by himself, so I sent all three to ride it.  We must have misunderstood, because he wasn't.  Luckily it worked out that there was an extra adult willing to ride with him.  Here they all come on the "fast" rollercoaster.

And this one did AWESOME all day.  Even with only a short cat nap on the way down!  He loved taking it all in.

-Christmas cookies and Lights-
Friday night we headed to Carthage to catch The Way of Salvation light show.  The boys LOVED it.  We let them get out of the their seats and take a better view with us.  David and Goliath was definitely a favorite.

And because it was 70 degrees out, we finished with icecream!

On Sunday we made Christmas cookies.  They weren't at all excited about it.

Yep, Ivan helped too.  We shared them with our mailman and story group!  I think we did pretty good.

-Three Wisemen-
This is our last week of school before break time!  It was all about the three kings bringing their gifts to THE KING.  We made crowns, dressed up and had a blast.  But we also talked about Needs vs. Wants this week (very fitting), and bought gifts for each other at the Dollar Tree.

Our plan is to gift our kiddos with three gifts too.  As I was explaining the plan to Amos, he was very adamant that he didn't want any frankincense!

-Santa-
This picture cracks me up. Silas and Ivan are not sure about that guy.  And Amos is cheesing it up for the toy in his bag.

This one maybe better displays their true sentiments!

-Wrestling-
Jason took both boys on a Daddy date last night and left this one home with me.  The older two ate out with Dad and then went to a highschool wrestling meet.  When they got home, they were ready to take on Dad.  They were definitely feeling pretty tough.

We enjoyed our quieter evening at home and some time together.
