I feel like we really fell into a nice groove this week. Taking naps on his stomach, helped Silas figure out how to make it through his mid-nap transition, which lengthened his naps. He still has one nap a day that doesn't go so hot, but the other 3 our quite consistent. The bad nap switches between the 3rd and 4th nap. Some days it's one and some days it's the other. The consistency has been nice for timing outings and Amos' activities. We've learned that Silas is pretty flexible and can sleep well most places.
He spent the entire last week sleeping from 7pm to 7am! It's so wonderful to go to sleep at night, knowing I won't have to wake up. And now that his cough is gone-o he doesn't make noise at all! We're still swaddling at night instead of putting him on his stomach because the one night we didn't, he woke up 4 times and cried out and then went back to sleep. This meant Mom woke up 4 times to check on him. Thus the swaddling. To quote Jason, "You don't mess around with night time sleep."
Enough about sleeping, he's quite the fun guy while he's awake. All it takes is a smile to get him smiling back and talking to me. He's content wherever I put him and has really started to reach for toys hanging in front of him. I can tell that he's trying his hardest to get his arms to cooperate with his desire. More often then not, he'll grab hold of something with his crazy arm swings and won't let go.
He's got crazy hair. It's starting to fill in some on the sides, but most of the time he looks like he's wearing a toupee. It pretty thick on top.
Here's Amos about the same age in the bath tub!
A warm bath is still one of his favorite things. He goes all smiles and has started making quite the splashes. Amos likes to come in and "help" Silas when he takes a bath in the tub. Can't wait until I can bathe them together. We'll have so much fun.
He's really filling out his 3-6 month clothes. Amos was in this size for quite some time. I don't think that will be the case for Sly-Guy! As you can see, he's turning into a little bit of a chunk.
Here's a short fairly short clip of Silas carrying on. I think he just likes to experiment with his voice.
And here's the Moose Man at 16 weeks. We should have guessed from this face how ornery he was going to be!
