grandparents and christmas parade 2013

Amos and Silas have had so much fun with Christmas celebrating and enjoying family, that once the new year roles around, we may have some problems.  Mom is just not exciting enough.

Our Christmas celebrating started early.  Grammy came over on Saturday so that Jason and I could go out for my surprise Christmas/Birthday present - dinner and the Springfield Symphony.

The next morning, I was excited to see Amos after being gone, but his first words were, "Where's Grammy!"

Luckily, Nana, Papa, & Granny were on their way to see us.  The spoiled us all by taking us out two nights in a row!  Amos loved the HuHut.  The grocery fairy also visited my house and left behind all kinds of goodies in our refrigerator and cabinet.

See what Papa made us!  Soon Mama can sit and watch them play in the yard.  We only need to burn our brush pile first.

The evening they left, we headed to the Joplin Christmas Parade.  To say Amos had a blast might be an understatement.  He LOVED IT!  I think he waved to every single person who passed by.  Silas wasn't quite as enthused.  Maybe next year!

And Wednesday evening was the church Christmas party!  We had fun, and the hit was the helium balloons!  Amos didn't want to eat breakfast the next morning because: "I'm playing with my balloon, Mom."  Who needs Christmas presents.  Just get the kid a helium balloon.
