silas john - week 32

We were on vacation for majority of the week.  Silas did a really good job being in a new place.  Thanks to our sound machine, he napped and slept really good.  He did have a few early morning wake-ups, but when the sun comes up at 5 o'clock our time, what can you expect.

While at the cabin, he was content to be held or sit on the floor and look around.  He did not want to eat his food though.  As soon as we got home, he went back to eating like nothing had happened.  I wonder if elevation bothered him more than I know.
He's been working on a "lean-all-the-way-over-until-I'm-laying-on-my-belly-and-then-sit-back-up" move.  He actually quite stronger than he looks.

I've been waiting and waiting for the tooth mound to produce a tooth.  But it didn't happen the week.  He seems to have a bit of crankiness with the tooth and continues to chew on anything in sight.  We're using teething tablets to help with the discomfort.  It's so hard to know if anything really helps, but it seems like anytime I give him the tablets he seems better.  So we take what we can get.
We did add a little bit of "real" food to his diet this week.  He's now tried toast, whole strawberries, whole bananas, avocado and cheese.  Not much has actually been swallowed, but he is learning.
Silas was taken with Priscilla.  She was too busy moving to notice him much, but he just watched her all week long.

He loves loves loves his big brother.  No one can make him smile quicker that Amos.

Here's Amos at the same age:
