We went in for Amos' 1 year check-up today. We were excited, yet a little nervous. I knew that this check-up involved shots and he hadn't had shots since 6 months old. I love the nurses at our Dr. office. They always remember us and treat Amos so well. The good news: he had grown! His head just keeps getting bigger and bigger. The nurse said that since it has grown consistently, we shouldn't be worried that the measurement is off the chart. He's 31 inches long, putting him up into the 85%. He's 22 lbs 4 oz in weight which lands him right in the middle at 50%.
The doctor said that he looks perfect and to keep doing what we've been doing. The only thing Amos isn't allowed to have is peanut butter!
The shots were a lot harder this time (I'm glad Jason was able to come with us). He's old enough now that he still had the quivering lip, even after the pain had gone away. We had to quickly leave the room because I think Amos thought he was going to get more.
We don't have to go back for another six months! The nurse reminded me that we when come back the next time, we will have two little boys with us! That is CRAZY to think about!
Watching your baby get shots is the worst :(. And I love the lego pictures--my little guy is a lego building/destroying fiend too!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! How old is your little guy?
