I put the post off a day so that we could celebrate Amos turning 3 months old today! All along, I’ve been told that 3 months is the turning point. They go from being a newborn to a baby!
A Day in the life of Amos:
I generally wake up really hungry for something at about 5:45 am. After a long night of sleeping, Mom always knows what hits the spot. I want to stay up and play before Daddy leaves for school, but I can’t ever quite keep my eyes open!
Before I know it, its brighter outside and Mom is waking me up singing some song. I really love when Mom sings, but at this time it makes me cry because I remember how hungry I am! After eating breakfast, Mom and I sit and rocking chair and I tell her all about my dreams. I also stare at the tree above her head while she tells me what we are going to do today. I practice standing, do quite a bit of spitting up. Mom cleans me up really nice. The time passes so quick with Mom reading and singing to me that I hardly realize how tired I’m getting. Off for Nap #1, as Gramps like to put it.
I sleep and sleep and sleep until I’m more hungry than tired and I let Mom know in my own special way!! After all the important things are taken care of, eating and diaper change, its time for my bath! I’m always a little unsure of the water until I get used to it. I’m pretty sure that I like bath time, but I don’t smile about it yet! Grammy came for a visit and dressed me up during my bath!
After my bath, I practice sitting and standing! I’m actually getting pretty good if I do say so myself. But all of this normally wears me out just in time for Nap #2.
I’m a really good napper, so time passes quickly, and I get really hungry, by 1:00 I’m really for lunch! After lunch, I normally spend time on my tummy looking at books. I love picture books! Now that I can push myself way up on my tummy, I don’t mind tummy time so much! I can still look around. Sometimes people come over and visit me. My cousin Josie and I like to hang out together! But I have to squeeze in Nap #3 so that I am really well rested for when Daddy gets home.
After second lunch, Daddy is home and ready to play. He normally takes me outside.
Apparently I am allergic to the Sun, because I sneeze every time I see it!
(Here's a picture of me sneezing on Daddy!)
Daddy hopes the more exposure I get, the less allergic I will be! I love playing with Daddy.
He does lots of funny things!
I play with Mommy too, she is just normally the one taking all the pictures of me!
My last nap, Nap #4 is a short one. I get too tired to stay up any longer, but I don’t wake up hungry either! Normally I just catch the end of Mommy and Daddy’s dinner and hang out with them in the bumbo! We play a little, and then I have my dinner! After Dinner I get to spend time with Mom and Dad together. They do lots of funny things to try to get me to look at them. They just don’t understand how enthralling the lamp behind their heads is! I will give them a quick smile from time to time though so they know that I know they are they!
7:30 is bedtime, so I get my pajamas put on me, listen to Daddy sing, say goodnight to the folks and head for dreamland!
What a good Mirthday!
